RFP Released for Gap Analysis
Fort
Drum
Regional
Liaison Organization announced today the release of a Request for
Proposal for a BUSINESS AND RESOURCES GAP ANALYSIS.
According
to Dr.
John Deans
, FDRLO Chair,
“Our organization recently celebrated its fifteenth anniversary.
Since its inception in 1990, FDRLO has focused its energies on the
BRAC process and sustainable base enhancement projects. With the
most recent BRAC round now successfully behind us, it is clear that
Fort
Drum
will not only remain an important part of the Army’s inventory but
it is slated to grow. FDRLO and our community must therefore
transition its activities to those that will support the expansion
and provide economic benefit to our region.”
“The
Economic Development Task Force has put together a project outline
that will, we believe, help the
North Country
to maximize
the economic benefits resulting from the increased population and
military presence at
Fort
Drum
,” said Dr.
Deans.
The
proposed Gap Analysis will focus on three areas:
-
Business
demand and local capacity,
-
Canadian
and Domestic business attraction potential, and
-
Resource
capacity.
The
successful bidder would be expected to provide reports that identify
specific target businesses, resource requirements and implementation
strategies to address the issues described in the RFP. Submission
deadline is
November 23rd,
2005
.
The
RFP is available on line at www.fdrlo.org/EDTF/rfp.html
